Map of European squares worked on 1.296 MHz MHz by DK5AI :
|
On 1296 MHz I made
first ever contacts been between Germany - Belarus (DL - UC2/RC2; now EU) and Germany -
German Democratic Republic (DL - Y2).
The equipment is an IC202-Transceiver, followed by an 1296/144MHz-Transverter
and a 2C39 cavity amplifier running at some 30 W RF output. The antenna-system
consists of a 2.1m dish with wideband-feedhorn.
Highlight´s were contacts with RC2AA (KO33 - first DL / UC2 on 1296MHz),
Y23FL (JO50 - first DL / Y2 on 1296MHz) and YU1IQ (KN04 - Yugoslavian DX-record
at that time).
